In preparation for today’s historic game, the LA Rams were expected to be in bed early last night and up early today after their flight from the US.
The team only arrived in Melbourne just 24 hours before today’s NFL game at the MCG, whereas the San Francisco 49ers spent a full week in Melbourne adjusting to the time zone.

Kevin Demoff, president of the Los Angeles Rams, said the team had an 8pm curfew last night and planned to be up from 3am or 4am today, in keeping with their strategy of staying on LA time.
“Our goal is to have them in bed by 8 pm,” Demoff told media yesterday. “Then if they wind up waking up naturally at 3am or 4am, that’s their normal rhythm to get ready. They’ll leave for the stadium at 6.30 am or 7am, so that’s about right.”
