The four-time NBA champion will play for the Philadelphia 76ers next season, and will be on a team that is expected to be the favourites to win the NBA championship.
Every game, it feels like James could be on the verge of either breaking a record or adding to a record he already holds.
However, this is not enough to convince former NBA player Olden Polynice about King James.
Polynice thinks James is overrated
Olden Polynice played in the NBA for over a decade, and since his retirement has been actively involved in sports media and developing basketball talent.
His most recent take, however, was directly targeting LeBron James, a player who has given everything he has to the game.
The former player’s main argument was James’ failure to average a Triple Double season.
“I love LeBron, I really do, I think he’s one of the greatest ever, ever. What he is doing right now, we’ve never seen before and I won’t even get off the court, he is by himself over there,” said Polynice on Sirius XM Radio.
“But at the same time, I can be critical of him on somethings, one in particular, I felt LeBron should have averaged a triple double way before Russell Westbrook.

“That’s my personal opinion because he’s big strong and everything else, he’s the most talented guy we’ve seen in a long time, but yet Russell Westbrook averaged a triple double and LeBron didn’t.
“So I can be critical of things like that because I still believe, believe it or not this is going to be the weirdest thing ever uttered, LeBron James underachieved.”
Now, Polynice has admitted that it is a weird thing to state that LeBron has underachieved, considering there isn’t much left for him to win.
He is entering Year 24 with hopes of winning a championship, and that is only going to further cement his legacy as one of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball. Even if he doesn’t, that statement still stands.
