The forecast is exciting for Scherri-Lee Biggs who has announced she’s expecting her second child.
The Channel 9 weather presenter, who moved from Perth to replace Livinia Nixon this year, shared the happy news on Monday night.
“If 2026 couldn’t get any bigger our family of three is soon to be four,’’ Biggs wrote on social media.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be growing our little family and can’t wait to see Isla become a big sister. It’s apparently already ‘her’ baby, so hoping that means we’ll have all hands on deck come March.”
Biggs and husband, former AFL player Daniel Venables, welcomed their daughter in February 2024.
She posted to social media after letting the cat out of the bag at the end of the 6pm news bulletin alongside news presenter Alicia Loxley and sports presenter Tony Jones.
“We have one more piece of breaking news,’’ Loxley said.
“Another exciting forecast.”
A smiling Biggs said: “Very exciting indeed. I’m sure it’s been pretty obvious over the last couple of weeks but Dan and I are expecting our second bubba. Very excited. A Melbourne baby now.”
Jones resisted going in for a kiss, which he’s become synonymous with courtesy of his failed attempt on Bec Judd.
“I’d love to come over and say congratulations,’’ he said.
Biggs said: “It’s been disallowed.”
In January Biggs replaced Nixon after returning home to where the former Miss Universe Australia honed her beauty and modelling skills before transitioning to television 11 years ago.
Nixon finished up last November after 21 years.
Biggs reported the weather for Nine News Perth and regularly filled in on Today during its summer edition.
She’s also appeared across Postcards, Destination WA and Celebrity Apprentice Australia.
“Melbourne holds a truly special place in my heart,” Biggs said at the time.
“As the home city of my husband, Daniel, we are greatly looking forward to reconnecting with family and raising our daughter, Isla, here.”
