Eurozone industrial output fell again in July, highlighting the uneven nature of the region’s economic recovery as manufacturers contend with higher energy costs despite signs of improving demand.
Industrial production fell 0.1% from the previous month, following a 0.1% decline in June, the statistics agency Eurostat said Wednesday. A consensus of economists polled by The Wall Street Journal expected a steeper fall of 0.4%.
