The 2026 AFL Grand Final between Fremantle and Brisbane starts at 2.30pm AEST on Saturday, September 26 at the MCG in Melbourne.
The pre-game entertainment, featuring Aussie pop icon Kylie Minogue, is expected to start between 1pm and 1:30pm AEST with full details still to be confirmed.

Who is performing at the 2026 AFL Grand Final?
Kylie Minogue is headline the pre-game entertainment at this year’s grand final. G Flip, musical actor Michael Paynter (national anthem) and Mike Brady (Up There Cazaly during the retiree motorcade), will also be performing, with final details still to be confirmed.

Who’s the favourite?
Brisbane Lions opened $1.65 favourite to win their third straight premiership with TAB. Fremantle was listed as a $2.30 outsider. The line was set at 8.5 points.
Will Ashcroft was listed as a $7 favourite to win the Norm Smith Medal for the third straight year. Zac Bailey and Luke Jackson were on the next line of betting at $10, with Lachie Neale an $11 chance.
Where is the AFL Grand Final parade?
The AFL Grand Final Parade will be held on Friday September 25 – a public holiday in Victoria. It starts at 10.30am AEST, with the motorcade beginning at John Cain Arena. Before that, The Wiggles will perform at Melbourne Park to kick off the festivities at 9.30am. The parade will be broadcast live and exclusively on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
When will the Grand Final finish?
The 2026 AFL Grand Final will finish just after 5pm AEST, depending on the quarter lengths and whether extra time is required or not.
If scores are level at full-time, extra time will be played – two three-minute halves, plus time-on.
