The Brisbane Broncos are set to be dealt a massive blow, with the club resigned to losing an international forward due to his complicated relationship with coach Michael Maguire.
One of 12 Broncos players set to hit the open market on November 1 next season is set to mark Jordan Riki’s last at the club as he considers his long-term future.

“The Broncos are growing increasingly sceptical that Jordan Riki will stay at the club beyond next season,” reporter Brent Read said on Triple M’s Sunday Sin Bin.
“He’s a November 1 guy and in the last year of his deal.

“On November 1, he will become available to speak to rival clubs and my understanding is the Broncos are concerned Jordan Riki may leave at the end of next season.”
The fresh reports come as his testy relationship with Maguire has been described as “oil and water”, with the two reportedly not seeing eye-to-eye.
“I think it’s done. I got told the Jordan Riki and coaching relationship is like oil and water. It doesn’t mix,” Ben Dobbin added.
“They’re resigned to the fact that he will be moving on. They are pretty confident that he will go somewhere else
It is understood that there were whispers of Riki linking up with the Melbourne Storm for the 2028 season, but both camps have denied it.
Meanwhile, the New Zealand Warriors have been
floated up as a potential destination.
This would see him replace former teammate Kurt Capewell in the back row once the veteran decides to hang up his boots.
“All the mail I got was the Melbourne Storm, but that has been absolutely categorically denied by people at Melbourne and by the Broncos,” Dobbin said.
“The Broncos said we don’t think he’ll be here, but it won’t be at the Melbourne Storm.
“I think the Warriors are in for Jordan Riki to bring him home.”
