Washington | Chinese President Xi Jinping said the United States and China must work together to ensure artificial intelligence never escapes human control while acknowledging the countries’ intense competition over the technology, as he kicked off a summit with US President Donald Trump.
On Thursday (Friday AEST) at a White House state visit aimed at keeping ties between the world’s two largest economies on track, Xi put AI front and centre amid growing concern about potential harms if the powerful technology goes rogue.
