Police probe death of person found unresponsive at Kangaroo Point, Brisbane

A body has been found in a bin outside a Brisbane apartment complex, triggering a major police response.

Emergency services raced to Lambert St at Kangaroo Point just before 12pm on Friday when the person was found unresponsive.

“Upon arrival, the person was declared deceased,” Queensland Police said.

7NEWS understands a garbage truck driver found the body of a woman.

Police are treating it as a sudden death and have not made any formal identification yet.

It is unclear if she lived at the complex, and detectives have been doorknocking residents.

An investigation into the circumstances around death is underway and police have taped off the area.
