‘One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen on a rugby pitch’
“No way has Santi Carreras done that… what an intervention!” the TNT Sport commentary team declared in disbelief as the Argentine, defending two on one, intentionally kicked the final pass out of the Harlequins winger’s grasp with his right boot, before regathering the ball with one hand to run the length of the field to score.
“He didn’t even think about going with the hands, not for a minute.”
“That is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen on a rugby pitch, they’re moments you dream about.”
Given he’s heading back to rugby in 2027, you can only wonder if Sydney Rosters star Mark Nawaqanitawse is taking notes for the NRL grand final next weekend?
