Unless the Panthers are up by 24 points after 30 minutes, Nathan Cleary will surely be injected at some point in the first half, foot injury be damned.

The Panthers have embodied that “next man up” mentality and that will be embodied by Jacks Cole and Cogger in the halves to start this one.

But watch for Isaah Yeo to take a bigger role in the play-making through the middle early.

Fullback Dylan Edwards will also have increased responsibility, and he says the team has had two weeks to come up with a game plan around Cleary.

“We’ve known for a while,” Edwards tells Fox.

“Once he gets on he field it’s all systems go anyway.”

Still, Penrith great Greg Alexander is adamant he will be on the field after 20 minutes.

“He’ll be kicking,” Alexander said on Fox Sports.

“He kicked at training on Thursday, he won’t be goal-kicking.”

The Broncos look certain to score on the right wing as Tamika Upton goes to the line with Julia Robins outside her, but Jaime Chapman blindsides her from the inside to stop her short.

The Titans centre is lucky not to be penalised after going on with the tackle on the ground, but gets back into the line as the Broncos reload down that side and she nabs the ball as Romy Teitzel fumbles a short ball on the last and the Titans survive again.

She’s immediately grabbed around the legs by the attackers-turned-defenders, and looks like she’s been awkwardly twisted around. She’s slow to rise but eventually gets up to continue.

She’s also battling a recently dislocated and relocated ring finger.

Tough cookie.

They make great metres after receiving a handover right on their tryline, and muscle up in defence.

A dummy half pass flies over the head of Lauren Brown and towards the Titans on the bounce, but Romy Teitzel flies in from nowhere to snatch the pass.
