Three teenagers have been charged over an alleged stabbing row which left a dad fighting for life in Melbourne’s southeast.
The man, 41, confronted the group on Govan St in Langwarrin – southeast of Melbourne – about 12.20am on Saturday as they were trying to break into a vehicle.
“Investigators will allege a confrontation occurred and the 41-year-old Langwarrin man was stabbed before the offenders fled,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
CCTV allegedly captures one of the teens on the move under the cover of darkness.
The man was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
Three boys, two 16-year-olds from the Casey area and one 17-year-old from the Frankston area, were all arrested.
The trio have been charged with intentionally cause serious injury in the circumstances of gross violence and intentionally cause serious injury.
They will face a children’s court on Sunday.
