UFC Vegas 121went down last night (Sat., Sept. 26, 2026) inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Raul Rosas Jr. knockout Raoni Barcelos in the fifth and final round in what was a brutal, back-and-forth war. That said, the end of the fight was quite troubling and confusing for all to see (see it again here). In the co-main event of the evening, Aileen Perez secured on of her biggest wins to date by defeating top-ranked contender, Norma Dumont, via unanimous decision.
Biggest Winner: Raul Rosas Jr.
Every fighter needs that statement win to get him to the next level, and Rosas Jr. picked that one up last night after taking out battle-tested veteran in Barcelos. He has now won six straight fights, but he never looked better than he did last night in his first headlining duties, as his striking was much improved, crisp and precise. He also showed his toughness, as he ate several big shots from Barcelos, though it was “El Nino Problema” who was landing the harder punches. With the win — as odd as it came to be — Rosas Jr. will crack the Top 10, further expediting his rise in the division and aides in his march toward the title fight. What’s scare is that he is still just 21 years of age, and he is only going to get better as time goes on.
Runner Up: Luis Hernandez
When you get a last-second chance to make your UFC debut, you take it and try your best to make the most of it. And that’s just what Hernandez did last night after getting a late call up to replace Mickey Gall against Sedrique Dumas on just a couple days notice. And it didn’t take long for him to make another splash just a few weeks after earning a contract with his win on the Contender Series in the same building, submitting Dumas in just 57 seconds (video highlights here). It’s wins like this one that gets a fighter on the fast track to Dana White’s good side, which leads to stardom if victories are consistent. Its been a great few weeks for Hernandez, who also walked away with a nice $100,000 post-fight bonus award.
Biggest Loser: Vanessa Demopoulos
Coming into her fight against Yazmin Jauregui, Demopoulos was our fighter who needed a win the most. After all, she was on a horrid three-fight losing streak with her last win coming in May 2024. Instead of turning things around for herself, “Lil Monster” found herself in a bigger hole after she was knocked out in the very first round, 62 seconds after the opening bell (see it again here). It’s another tough setback for the 28 year-old contender, who could very well find herself out of the promotion once the next round of cuts come around.
