Matthew Stafford has had a fantastic NFL career, though he set a record on Sunday night he assuredly doesn’t want to hold.
Denver Broncos safety Talanoa Hufanga jumped a Stafford pass in the fourth quarter and took it to the house, the 33rd time in his career that Stafford has thrown a pick-six. And that is the most in NFL history, surpassing Brett Favre:
To Stafford’s credit he bounced back quickly, throwing a 48-yard touchdown pass to Konata Mumpfield on the very next series.
However, in the end, Hufanga and the Broncos managed to hold on for the win:
The Rams fell to 1-2 with the loss.
