Banks are scaling back travel insurance and frequent flyer points, but airport lounge access remains one travel perk on offer.

Westpac is introducing a new Flight Delay Access Pass, so if a flight is delayed by two hours or more, the cardholder and up to four other people get a complimentary lounge access pass.

The Commonwealth Bank is keeping its two free airport lounge passes each year on the Ultimate card, while NAB is adding two complimentary passes to its Rewards Travel Card.
