Iowa State basketball: Tamin Lipsey returning to Cyclones roster

‘He’s back’: Iowa State adds Tamin Lipsey to men’s basketball roster

AMES, Iowa —

Iowa State is preparing for Tamin Lipsey to return to the men’s basketball team this season.

Last week, a judge in Indiana granted a preliminary injunction that will allow dozens of former college student-athletes, including Lipsey, to play a fifth year.

Iowa State posted a news release on its men’s basketball website Monday opening, simply, with “He’s Back.” Lipsey is enrolled at ISU and listed on the basketball roster.

Lipsey, an Ames native, is Iowa State’s all-time leader in several statistics, including steals in a career. He started all 137 games across his career as a Cyclone, the most in program history.
