OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman says it is the wrong time for artificial intelligence companies to go public because of safety concerns where the technology has gone rogue, including hacking into Australia’s Medicare system.
Altman’s comments come as rival Anthropic, the developer of the Claude platform, prepares for its sharemarket listing, with reports it could have a valuation of $US2 trillion ($2.9 trillion).
