Liberal MP Julian Lesser says new Greens leader David Shoebridge has been “fomenting antisemitism” over the last few years, including for chanting “from the river to the sea” and “Intifada”.
“I think most Jewish Australians would regard the conduct of the Greens in the last few years as actually fomenting anti-Semitism, and that includes Mr Shoebridge himself,” Lesser told ABC News’ Afternoon Briefing.

“[Shoebridge] went to a number of those rallies that encourage people to chant things like “From the river to the sea” and “Intifada, Intifada, and made up stories about Australia’s weapons trade with Israel.”
“All of which, you know, again led to declining aspects of social cohesion in this country.”
“If Mr Shoebridge wants to show leadership here, he could start by properly disciplining his colleagues and making sure that they are not going to rallies where people are calling for the murder of Jewish Australians, where they’re not calling for intifada, the sort of thing that we saw at Bondi last December, brought to our streets and propagated here,” Lesser said.
