PwC Australia is expanding its deals division with the acquisition of Paris-headquartered due diligence firm Advancy’s local franchise, in a rare M&A bet from one of the country’s big four consultants.
Advancy Australia, run by co-founders Carl Brostrom and David Thevenon, has operated as a partner of the global network since 2013 despite being owned independently. Under the deal, Brostrom and Thevenon will join PwC as partners, bringing a team of six and a client book full of private equity heavyweights such as BGH Capital and Quadrant.
