Ilia Topuria has resumed full training after receiving medical clearance following his first career loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250 in June.
Topuria suffered significant facial injuries before his corner stopped the fight after the fourth round, handing Gaethje the TKO win and undisputed lightweight title. No opponent or return date has been set, though Topuria has called for an immediate rematch, while a long-standing rivalry with Paddy Pimblett remains another possible option. Gaethje, meanwhile, has named Arman Tsarukyan as the frontrunner for his first title defense if he decides to continue fighting.
