One Nation begins its Victorian election campaign today as it seeks to increase its presence in the state ahead of the key November 28 election.
Pauline Hanson’s party is closing in on Labor in Victoria, with the party just two points behind on primary votes less than two months before voters cast their ballots, the Herald Sun reports.
The polling upheaval has coincided with an aggressive policy rollout from One Nation, particularly on immigration and cost-of-living.
The party sits at 22 per cent in the state, as Labor’s primary vote slips to 24 per cent.
The Freshwater Strategy poll of 1030 voters, conducted between September 24 and 28, found the Coalition leading on 29 per cent, while the Greens remained unchanged at 14 per cent.
One Nation officially launches its 2026 Victorian state campaign from 12pm on Saturday, October 3 in Melbourne.
Keynote speakers include Ms Hanson, Victorian State President Warren Pickering, lead candidate for North Metro Mark Nicholson, and candidate for South-Eastern Metropolitan Colleen Harkin.
“In three hours we’re putting three things on the table,” the party said ahead of the event.
“First, our policies, where the full Victorian platform will be released in public for the first time, covering the cost of living, law and order, power prices, water, roads, farming and the regions and an end to the waste and debt that Victorians have been made to pay for.
“Second, all our One Nation candidates contesting the 2026 state election, on stage and in person, so you can meet the people who will carry your vote into Spring Street.
“Third is our campaign, where we detail the plan and how you can be part of it between now and election day.
“It’s time to take Victoria back. It starts here.”
