Minnesota and Seattle still set the standard in the Week 5 NFL defense rankings. Dallas Turner had two sacks and two QB hits as the Vikings held Miami to 76 total yards in the first half, and Byron Murphy got his first sack of the season as Seattle’s front seven shut down Justin Herbert and the Chargers. The Rams climbed after holding Philadelphia to 0-for-12 on third down. Jacksonville’s pass rush piled up two sacks, 11 QB hits and two interceptions against Cincinnati. The Bears also moved up after allowing only 3.1 yards per play on the rest of New York’s drives, while the Cowboys rank as the worst defense in football.
