Speedcafe understands the 18-year-old has been highly sought after in the silly season as he aims to build on a promising rookie campaign.

Beeton contested the 2026 series with HMD Motorsports and after a difficult first half of the season, he announced himself with podiums in both Mid-Ohio races, then another podium at the Milwaukee Mile in only his third oval start.

A number of leading teams are understood to have registered interest in Beeton, with Andretti Global now expected to be his destination.

That would see Beeton step into the same organisation as compatriot Will Power, with the 2018 Indianapolis 500 winner and two-time IndyCar Series champion mooted to become a mentor for the Gold Coaster.

When contacted by Speedcafe, Beeton’s camp, which includes former long-time Holden Motorsport and Oscar Piastri media manager Gerald McDornan, would not comment on speculation, nor confirm his departure from HMD Motorsports.

With an official two-day test for the Indy NXT series set for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course on 17 October, confirmation of the deal could come this week.
