BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Five-star center Darius Wabbington announced his commitment to IU on Tuesday.
Wabbington is ranked 9th by ESPN in the Class of 2027. He is the first five-star recruit during Darian DeVries’ tenure with the Hoosiers.
Wabbington plays at Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
He joins shooting guard Chase Branham and center Felix Kiehlneker as IU’s additions in the class of 2027.
IU will play its first exhibition game of the 2026-27 season on Sunday on the road against Butler. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6:30 p.m. and will air on WISH-TV.
