Melbourne star Kysaiah Pickett and St Kilda gun Liam Ryan have teamed up to play together for Leonora in an Indigenous football tournament.
The game, which was part of the Goldfields Aboriginal Football Carnival, was played on Friday, with the tournament spanning October 9-10.
Despite the performances by Pickett and Ryan, Leonora went down to Boulder in the round-robin stage match.
Twelve teams took part in the men’s tournament. The Goldfields region covers the south to mid-east section of Western Australia.
The tournament itself is an annual event that is community-focused and brings in Indigenous people and families from the vast state of Western Australia.

Both Pickett and Ryan are proud Indigenous men and have connections to Western Australia.
Ryan is from Geraldton in the state’s north and played at West Coast for eight seasons, winning a premiership in 2018 and earning an All-Australian blazer in 2020.
At the end of 2025, Ryan moved from Perth to Melbourne to play for St Kilda.
Pickett also has ties to Western Australia through family and is fresh off another dominant season at Melbourne.
The 25-year-old received his second All-Australian award this year after averaging 22.6 disposals, 4.5 clearances and 4.6 tackles per game while also hitting the scoreboard with 28 goals.
