Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season could be a soggy one as parts of the country experience the effects of Hurricane Isaias.
Isaias made landfall Friday as a Category 2 hurricane. While it has been downgraded, the accompanying storms could linger throughout the weekend.
Look no further than the daily forecasts for Sunday’s outdoor NFL action, courtesy of The Weather Channel:
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ matchup with the Indianapolis Colts will be one to follow in terms of how the field conditions impact the contest.
The Weather Channel is calling for the rain to begin as early as 3 or 4 a.m. ET and continue through the afternoon. Even if the showers stop by the 1 p.m. kickoff, the playing surface at Acrisure Stadium has long been a trouble spot. The Steelers and Colts could be in for a slog.
The same is true for the Washington Commanders and New York Giants. The rain in Landover, Maryland, might start as early as Saturday night, and it won’t let up until well into Sunday.
Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is making his return from a dislocated left elbow. He might’ve picked the wrong week to come back.
