Updated 2027 NFL Draft Order After Week 5 Results, Who Could Titans & Chargers Take?

It may be hard for anyone to match Colin Simmons as the top defensive prospect in the 2027 draft class.

Simmons had two more sacks on Saturday in the Texas Longhorns’ loss to the Oklahoma Sooners.

Simmons is up to 9.5 sacks and 12 solo tackles through six games for the previous No. 1-ranked team in the country.

If the Titans, Chargers or Dolphins don’t go the quarterback route, Simmons should be at, or near, the top of their draft boards.

An argument can be made that Simmons could make the biggest impact on a team out of the 2027 draft class. Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is also in that discussion.

Regardless, Simmons should be in the top five or top 10 conversation because of how impactful he can be on defense.
