Beats by Dre has officially confirmed a collaboration with the Pokémon franchise, teasing a Pikachu-themed version of its Pill Bluetooth speaker.

The Apple-owned audio brand posted a short teaser clip to social media on October 12, 2026, showing a shadowy silhouette of the pill-shaped speaker accented by yellow lightning. The post’s caption reads, “Time to catch something new,” a direct nod to Pokémon’s iconic “Gotta catch ’em all” slogan.

The teaser offers no release date or pricing details, but it validates weeks of speculation that began when Pikachu made an appearance at Apple Park during the company’s August hardware event. The mascot was photographed meeting Apple executives Tim Cook and John Ternus, prompting fans to anticipate a product tie-up rather than a simple promotional visit.

Rumors intensified earlier this month when social media posts showed a Pikachu-themed Beats Pill package at a Target store, suggesting the collaboration had already reached retail shelves in some locations.

The standard Beats Pill, which Apple revived from its discontinued product lineup in 2024, retails for $149.99 and is frequently discounted to $129. A Pokémon-branded edition would likely command a premium and could attract collectors as well as audio enthusiasts.

The partnership reflects Apple’s broader strategy of leveraging pop-culture franchises to generate buzz around its accessories. Pokémon remains one of the world’s most recognizable entertainment brands, spanning video games, trading cards, animated series, and merchandise that generates billions in annual revenue.

While Beats has not disclosed whether additional Pokémon characters will appear on future products, the Pikachu design aligns with the franchise’s most marketable icon. The company said more details will follow when the product moves from teaser to full announcement.
