Glenelg Football Club is excited to welcome Jez McLennan to the Bays in season 2027.

McLennan, who joins the Tigers following two seasons at the Port Adelaide Magpies – one with captaincy – is set to boost the Bays defensive side.

“We’re delighted to welcome Jez and his partner Yasmin to the Club. Jez brings outstanding leadership, a strong work ethic, and football acumen making him a fantastic addition both on and off the field,” said Glenelg Football Club’s General Manager of Football on Wednesday.

“We’re excited to see the impact he’ll make as he joins our group and helps build on the strong culture we’re so proud of.”

The 25-year-old has SANFL experience exceeding 78 League matches across Port Adelaide and Central Districts, averages 19 disposals at the conclusion of season 2026, with a 70% disposal efficiency.

The defender spent four years on the list of the Gold Coast Suns before returning to South Australia where he earned back-to-back Fos Williams Medals in season 2024 (State Game Best on Ground).

“From the outside looking in, Glenelg is a Club that commands respect right across the league and I’m thrilled to be a part of it,” said McLennan ahead of his signing announcement.

“Glenelg has built sustained success, and I strongly believe this group is positioned to contend for years to come.”

McLennan finished third in the Port Adelaide SANFL Best & Fairest count, taking home the Anthony Williams Memorial Trophy (Coaches Award).

“I can’t wait to get to work with the group over pre-season and see what we can achieve in 2027 and beyond,” said McLennan.

McLennan will join the Bays for preseason in the coming months.
