A man has been charged with murder after an alleged stabbing at a Melbourne home.
Emergency services were called to the house on Belfort Street in St Albans in the city’s north-west at 12.30am on Sunday, where they found a 56-year-old man with knife wounds.

The St Albans man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but later died.
A 31-year-old man, who is also from St Albans and is believed to have known the victim, was arrested at the home and questioned.
On Sunday night, police announced the younger man had been charged with murder.
He is due in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
