A Labor candidate in Victoria’s state election has shared a threatening letter sent to him, calling for the threats to stop.
David Sun’s post on Facebook.
David Sun, who is trying to win the seat of Kew away from Opposition Leader Jess Wilson, told the suburb’s community Facebook group he recently received the anonymous letter, which contained two short, disturbing statements: “I know where you live” and “I know where your children go to school.”
Sun told the group while he was aware of the scrutiny and criticism being a political candidate entailed, the threats crossed a line.
“This is not about Labor, Liberal or Independent politics. It is about basic human decency,” he wrote.
“Enough is enough, threats against my family must stop.”
