Sports Info Solutions announced the 2026 Fielding Bible Award winners on Thursday. This is the 21st year of the awards, which are given out to the top fielder at each position. A panel of experts votes on their selections based on statistics, the eye test and whichever other factors they believe are important.
Here is this year’s class:
Catcher: Dillon Dingler, Tigers
First base: Matt Olson, Braves
Second base: Brice Turang, Brewers
Shortstop: Taylor Walls, Rays
Third base: Alex Bregman, Cubs
Left field: Cody Bellinger, Yankees
Center field: Ceddanne Rafaela, Red Sox
Right field: Wilyer Abreu, Red Sox
Pitcher: Tanner Bibee, Guardians
Multi-position: Zach McKinstry, Tigers
Player of the Year: Pete Crow-Armstrong, Cubs
Team of the Year: Cubs
The only repeat winners from last year are Olson, Rafaela and the Cubs. Olson has now earned six of these awards, putting him right behind Mookie Betts (seven) for most all-time. The Cubs accrued 115 Defensive Runs Saved, 28 more than the second-place Rays (87). Crow-Armstrong, the runaway favorite to win the National League MVP, accounted for 16 DRS in center field. Bregman finished with 15 during the first season of his five-year, $175MM contract with the Cubs.
Unsurprisingly, all of the above players are Rawlings Gold Glove Award finalists at their respective positions. The Gold Glove winners will be announced Nov. 1.
