BOULDER CITY, Nev. – A day after setting her career low, University of Houston Women’s Golf junior Emilia Väisto bettered that by one stroke with a 66 to lead the Cougars and grab the individual lead following the Second Round of The Clash at Boulder Creek on Monday afternoon.

Competing on the 6,429-yard, par-72 course at Boulder Creek Golf Club, Vaisto enjoyed her second straight bogey-free round to build a two-stroke advantage over Boise State’s Leia Chung and Kansas’ Ebba Nordstedt.
Starting off No. 1, she made three straight pars before making her first birdie of the day at the par-3 fourth hole. Following for more pars, she closed her first nine with another birdie.
