The Sydney Swans investigation has reportedly been “expanded” to look into the activities of a new man.

According to the Herald Sun, the authorities are investigating the individual for secretly taping the alleged victims.

It is understood police have spoken to “a number of people” in relation to the recording — which was made in the days after the alleged incident took place at the Pullman Hotel in Melbourne.

The man reportedly got in touch with Swans officials following the night in question, before the club informed the AFL integrity unit.

The recording was then seized from a property in Melbourne after Victoria Police’s sexual crimes squad investigators obtained a warrant.

The alleged victims are reportedly “upset and angry” about the recording taking place without their knowledge.

It is not yet known what the nature of the allegation is against the man who made the recording.

Victoria Police has told news.com.au that “as the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment”.

It is one of two recordings that have been seized pertaining to the investigation.

The second is understood to be 20 minutes in length and pertains to a version of events from one of the adult entertainers that was in the hotel room.

The Herald Sun are also reporting a writ has been served against the Swans players.

It is claimed Taylor Adams and the Sydney Swans Football Club are being sued in the action launched by Carbone Lawyers — who are representing two of the dancers.

A third dancer is being represented by the Slater & Gordon law firm.

Allegations within the writ are said to include an accusation of one dancer being touched on the vagina.

A decision as to whether criminal charges will be laid against the Swans players is expected to come in November after the Office of Public Prosecutions reviews the brief-of-evidence.

The four players being investigated relating to the allegations are Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey and James Jordon.

Isaac Heeney speaks to the media

Heeney, Warner and Jordon are still with the Swans, while Blakey has moved to North Melbourne since the alleged incident.

Swans star Riley Bice, who was initially being investigated, has been cleared and is now being considered a witness.

No charges have been laid and each player has denied any wrongdoing.

The Swans have stated since the five players were stood down for the remainder of the 2026 season that the sanctions imposed were entirely due to them breaching behavioural standards.

Now the club is believed to be satisfied they have been punished sufficiently, with Heeney, Bice, Jordon and Warner all likely to line up in the Swans’ Round 1 fixture in 2027.
