A late addition to the 2025-26 squad was confirmed by Mersin MSK on Sunday, in the form of 27-year-old Anthony Cowan Jr.
Leon Harun Apaydin, Ben Bentil, Justin Cobbs, Francisco Cruz, Deniz Kilicli, Ronald March, Gabriel Olaseni, Omer Oralkan, Kartal Ozmizrak, Hakan Sayili, Ergi Tirpanci, and Jack White were previously placed on the 2025-26 roster. Can Sevim’s side is heading to Group G of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, opposite back-to-back defending champion Unicaja, lasting original Filou Oostende and fellow newcomer Karditsa Iaponiki.
The Maryland product is returning to top-tier club continental competition of FIBA Europe after putting up 17.8 points per game over 15 appearances with Promitheas in his 2023-24 journey. In the 2024-25 season, he suited up for Wolves Twinsbet in the BKT EuroCup, averaging 16.3 points and 6.0 assists per contest. Also, packing 16.7 points and 5.9 assists per game, he was named Most Valuable Player of Lithuania’s Betsafe LKL Regular Season.
In 2020, Cowan started his professional career in the G League with the Memphis Hustle. Between one season with Aris and two with Promitheas, he spent three years in Greece before moving his talents to the Wolves. The next assignment will mark his debut in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi, besides bouncing back in the BCL.
Elsewhere, Thomas Bropleh was the latest offseason transfer completed by CSM Oradea. The 34-year-old winger is set for Champions League action in the upcoming Qualification portion to start the season.
