IT won’t be in a main game capacity, but there will again be a NASCAR/Supercar crossover at this year’s bp Adelaide Grand Final.

V8 Sleuth has verified that Jesse Love is returning for a second successive Adelaide Super2 cameo with Image Racing.

The American last year did a solid job on debut, outqualifying a trio of regulars for his maiden race, and finishing the next day’s contest in 14th.

That all came hot on the heels of Love pipping Connor Zilisch to the NASCAR Xfinity Series crown.

The 21-year-old will this weekend bid to make it back-to-back titles in the second tier, which has been renamed the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. He heads to Homestead-Miami Speedway sitting second in the standings, 22 points back from Justin Allgaier.

It has already been confirmed that Love will leave the Richard Childress Racing stable at year’s end to join Ford outfit Wood Brothers Racing for a full 2027 Cup Series campaign.

Daytona 500 winner Austin Cindric last year raced a Tickford Mustang wildcard in the Supercars Championship action at Adelaide; General Motors and Toyota had separately voiced interest in putting together a similar program for this year before both pulling the pin.
