Brian Bennett has been named Zimbabwe’s captain for their two-Test series against Afghanistan in the UAE, with regular skipper Richard Ngarava missing out with a back injury.
Veteran leg-spinner Graeme Cremer, who last featured in a Test in December 2017, has been included in the 17-man squad for the series that starts on November 5 in Sharjah.
Additionally, fast bowler Tanaka Chivanga misses out due to an injury while all-rounder Antum Naqvi has been included after becoming eligible to represent Zimbabwe under ICC rules.
Kundai Matigimu and Vincent Masekesa are the other players returning to the Test squad.
