Mamadou Sarr looks set to rejoin RC Strasbourg on loan from Chelsea, per Fabrizo Romano, just a few weeks after transferring to Chelsea from Strasbourg in a deal that was arranged back in January.
BlueCo financial spreadsheet gymnastics aside, this sequence of deals means that Chelsea will now use one of our three available loan spots at RCSA on Sarr, who will also take up one of our even more precious international loan spots.
The 19-year-old defender arrived at Cobham just a few days prior to the squad leaving for the Club World Cup in the States, where he would make one, ten-minute substitute appearance.
Last year at Strasbourg, Sarr was already a key player, starting 27 times in the league and missing only a couple games through injuries. He started the season in the reserves but quickly established himself in as an important contributor for manager Liam Rosenior.
So, presumably he will continue to enjoy some important minutes next season as well.
