Circus Centre Melbourne is a new creative circus hub in Melbourne on Wurundjeri Country, led by the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Australia\u2019s National Youth Circus and the country\u2019s only full-time circus school for young people aged 8\u201319. This new venture is a home for world-class circus training and creative exploration, building opportunities for community engagement and industry growth.\u00a0<\/p>\n
We\u2019re looking for a Venue & Program Coordinator to join our team at Circus Centre Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in keeping our space running smoothly and supporting the delivery of amazing programs for members, artists, and the community.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Position: Venue & Program Coordinator\u00a0Location: Circus Centre Melbourne, 35 Johnston St, Collingwood VIC 3066\u00a0Hours: Part-time, 0.6 FTE over 3 \u2013 4 days per week, Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm.\u00a0Remuneration: $60,00 \u2013 $63,000 pro-rata per annum, commensurate with experience, plus Superannuation and all entitlements \u00a0Term: 2 years with the possibility to become ongoing, preferred start date mid-September 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What will you be doing, exactly?\u00a0<\/p>\n
In this role, you\u2019ll be:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Keeping Circus Centre Melbourne running smoothly every day \u2013 from answering enquiries to making sure the space feels welcoming and organised.
\nBeing the first point of contact for artists, families, and community members, delivering friendly and professional customer service.
\nCoordinating bookings and programs so classes, workshops, and events run without a hitch.
\nOverseeing venue needs \u2013 arranging cleaning, liaising with contractors, and ensuring maintenance issues are resolved promptly.
\nSupporting safe and efficient operations by managing systems, processes, and communication across the team.\u00a0
\nGathering and organising program information to help us evaluate and improve what we do.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities and problem solve.\u00a0
\nGreat communication \u2013 you\u2019re friendly, approachable, and professional in person, on the phone, and over email.\u00a0
\nConfidence with digital tools like booking systems, Microsoft Office, and cloud platforms \u2013 and the ability to learn new systems quickly.\u00a0
