Luke Rockhold and Darren Till nearly came to blows during a volatile Misfits 22 press conference on Wednesday, and Dillon Danis even got involved in the near brawl.<\/p>\n
The action started before the fighters were even seated, with Till and Rockhold shouting at each other from across the dais with security swooping in to keep the fighters separated. Till even tried to run around to another side of the tables to escape security so he could take a swipe at Rockhold as they continued launching expletives in a heated exchange.<\/p>\n
The insults came fast and furious from both fighters, with Till eventually claiming that Rockhold refused to face him in an eight-round fight on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet\u2019s make it eight rounds,\u201d Till shouted. \u201cYou said to Mams [Taylor] you would pull out of the fight if it was eight. I\u2019m ready for eight. So who\u2019s the coke head?\u201d<\/p>\n
Rockhold fired back and accepted the challenge, although even an attempted handshake between them on stage nearly erupted into a full-on brawl.<\/p>\n
\u201cMake it 11 [rounds],\u201d Rockhold answered. \u201cI\u2019ll take [out] Dillon\u2019s bitch ass. I will fight Dillon for free.\u201d<\/p>\n
Yes, of course, Danis also got involved in the near melee as the always outspoken grappler took aim at all the fighters on the stage while also addressing his upcoming opponent, Warren Spencer.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of guys up there that said they could fight MMA, but when the contract came around, they all ran,\u201d Danis said. \u201cDarren\u2019s boxing now, so I respect him, but Rockhold turned it down, Tony [Ferguson] turned it down, everybody else turned it down.<\/p>\n
\u201cNobody wanted to fight me. So fair play to Spencer, but he\u2019s a dead man walking.\u201d<\/p>\n
That led to even more shouting and near-fights breaking out, with Danis continuing to taunt his potential opposition.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll fight you right now,\u201d Rockhold shouted at Danis. \u201cRight f*cking now.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ultimately, there wasn\u2019t much of a question-and-answer session as Till and Rockhold dominated the press conference with constant back-and-forth between them. They appeared to eventually agree to make the main event an eight-round fight, with Till threatening not to show up if those stipulations weren\u2019t added.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis fight\u2019s now eight rounds or I won\u2019t be fighting,\u201d Till said. \u201cYou\u2019re not ready. You\u2019re not ready, d*ckhead.\u201d<\/p>\n
