The Warriors were unable to deliver a win in front of another big crowd at Mt Smart in their final home game of the regular season, with the Eels playing giant killer again.<\/p>\n
While the stats showed the home side had more than their fair share of opportunities to score, it was Parramatta who made their chances matter to upset their hosts with a close and hard-fought 26-22 win. <\/p>\n
The Warriors had the better of the possession and their opportunities to score. However, some poor individual defence against a spirited Eels side who have been having fun upsetting teams looking to play finals proved too hard to overcome. <\/p>\n
Most of the game statistics did go the way of the home side, except for their 11 errors which proved costly as well. <\/p>\n
There was controversy when the Warriors were denied a potentially game-winning try from the Bunker in the 75th minutes<\/p>\n
A kick from Chanel Harris-Tevita wasn’t controlled by the Eels. Adam. Pompey took advantage to score.<\/p>\n
However, the Bunker overturned the try ruling that prop Demitric Vaimauga, who was also flying high for the kick, was deemed to have touched the ball and knocking it forward. Although this was clearly disputable.<\/p>\n
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck scored yet another try for the season while Leka Halasima nailed a double as his spectacular season continued for the Warriors. <\/p>\n
