PIC: 7NEWS<\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            A storm cell caused widespread damage in Waikiki at the weekend.\n        <\/p>\n<p>More than 30 residents called the SES for help after isolated wind gusts of over 100km\/h hit the Rockingham suburb in the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Tiles were ripped from the roof of a home on Harrington Waters Drive causing the ceiling to cave in.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/68abb51e35147.jpg\" style=\"width: 800.984px; height: 464px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Tiles were ripped from roofs and thrown into vehicles. PIC: 7NEWS<\/p>\n<p>The strong winds propelled the tiles into neighbouring properties and vehicles, while the solar hot water system of another house was torn off the roof and found down the road.<\/p>\n<p>While some residents initially thought it was a tornado that ripped through their suburb, the Bureau of Meteorology confirmed it was a storm cell.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/68abb523a1b56.jpg\" style=\"width: 779.969px; height: 458px;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Storm damage in Waikiki.
