THE striking Holden Dealer Team tribute livery carried by Triple Eight at the infamous 2019 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is back in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

The retro livery, inspired by the 1971 HDT Torana LC XU-1s of Peter Brock<\/a> and Colin Bond<\/a>, was carried by the team\u2019s pair of ZB Commodore Supercars to celebrate Holden\u2019s 50th anniversary of factory involvement in motorsport.<\/p>\n

Now, both the #97 car that finished runner-up in the hands of Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander<\/a> and the fourth-placed #888 car of Jamie Whincup<\/a> and Craig Lowndes<\/a> are to be produced in 1:18 scale by Biante Model Cars.<\/p>\n

The two models are now open to pre order here on the V8 Sleuth Superstore website.<\/a><\/p>\n

Each of the Red Bull Holdens is to be accompanied by an individually numbered, Certificate of Authenticity.<\/p>\n

The 2019 Bathurst cars have previously been produced in 1:18 scale by Classic Carlectables, however the Biante Model Cars versions differ in that they are not sealed bodies. The Biante versions have opening doors, bonnet and boot.<\/p>\n

Each of the cars were a factor in that year\u2019s race. The #97 Commodore followed the winning Scott McLaughlin\/Alex Premat Mustang across the line, just 0.68-seconds behind after 161 laps of racing.<\/p>\n

The Whincup\/Lowndes Commodore led 38 laps but pitted for fuel late in the race and couldn\u2019t recover the ground, narrowly missing out on the last spot on the podium to the WAU Commodore of James Courtney<\/a> and Jack Perkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 2019 race remains a controversial one in the eyes of many fans given the now-infamous \u2018debriss, debriss\u2019 situation that saw Fabian Coulthard<\/a>\u2019s DJR Team Penske Mustang slow and stack up the field.<\/p>\n

As a result, he and co-driver Tony D\u2019Alberto were given a pit lane penalty and demoted to 21st and last place in the results.<\/p>\n

The team was also fined $250,000 ($100,000 of which was suspended until the end of 2021) and given a 300 Teams Championship points penalty.<\/p>\n
