Starlink has officially surpassed 7 million customers worldwide, the company announced<\/a> in a Wednesday post on X. \u201cStarlink is connecting more than 7M people with reliable high-speed internet across ~150 countries, territories and many other markets. Thank you to all our customers around the world!\u201d the company wrote.<\/p>\n

The milestone marks yet another surge in adoption for the satellite internet service. Starlink reached 6 million users in June 2025 and 5 million in February 2025, meaning it has added a million more subscribers in a little over two months. The service crossed the 4 million mark back in September 2024<\/a>, with growth quickly accelerating over the past year.<\/p>\n

Starlink added an average of 12,200 new customers per day since hitting 6 million \u2014 a record pace and a 23% faster growth rate compared to the previous million.<\/p>\n

It appears Starlink\u2019s recent push to woo customers with lower hardware and subscription costs is paying off. The company recently introduced deep discounts in both the U.S. and Canada, cutting the price of its standard dish<\/a> and offering cheaper Residential subscription plans for the first year<\/a>. The move followed several other promos launched earlier in the year aimed at boosting adoption.<\/p>\n

At the same time, SpaceX is working on bolstering Starlink\u2019s capacity. Earlier this month, the company asked the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to approve the use of \u201cE-band\u201d spectrum for its first-generation satellite fleet<\/a>, which would increase bandwidth and allow the service to serve more customers.<\/p>\n

With more than 7 million users now online across roughly 150 countries, Starlink is cementing itself as the fastest-growing broadband provider globally, especially in areas underserved by traditional infrastructure.<\/p>\n
