<\/p>\nGreg Gutfeld and his late-night crew \u2013 who have been calling out Gavin Newsom\u2019s theatrical hand movements since time immemorial \u2013 spent seven whole minutes of Fox News airtime on the California Governor\u2019s expressive gesticulations, even claiming that he\u2019s tried (\u201cviolently!\u201d) to tone them down since the show made it a thing.<\/p>\n
\u201cApparently, our commentary has gotten inside his head and Gavin now is desperately trying to control himself,\u201d Gutfeld said on Friday night\u2019s show.<\/p>\n

After playing a highlight reel of Newsom\u2019s past ten-fingered flourishes \u2013 \u201cUgh, it\u2019s like he\u2019s molesting a ghost,\u201d Gutfeld gagged \u2013 they rolled a recent clip of the governor sitting at his desk with his hands folded and firmly planted on his desk \u2013\u00a0with one opposable exception: his thumb couldn\u2019t stay still.<\/p>\n

\u201cWatch as his errant thumb valiantly, violently resists,\u201d Gutfeld guffawed. \u201cIt needs to get out! It is trapped, poor little thumb. I haven\u2019t seen a finger that excited since my last prostate exam,\u201d Gutfeld said.<\/p>\n
Guest panelist and comedian Sherrod Small compared Newsom\u2019s constant hand jive to \u201ca third-base coach.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cLike you\u2019re telling me to steal, or bunt?\u201d Small said. \u201cLike if somebody talked to you like that on the subway as soon as you walk away, you\u2019re like, \u2018I think he got my watch.\u201d<\/p>\n
Panelist Kat Timpf was a bit more judicious, admitting that \u201cI talk with my hands a lot\u201d (while talking with her hands).<\/p>\n
\u201cI think my hands are always doing weird stuff,\u201d Timpf said. \u201cI got other problems with the guy, like his policies, but his hands no. His wife probably has problems with some things his hands have done but I don\u2019t personally.\u201d<\/p>\n
Panelist Tyrus suggested a new theory for the reason behind Newsom\u2019s phalangical phrasings.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it had something to do with the California budget cuts since they didn\u2019t have a hearing impaired [translator] anymore,\u201d he said. \u201c\u2018I\u2019m not paying the money for that \u2013\u00a0I\u2019ll do it myself!’\u201d<\/p>\n
