Now, thanks to AI, we\u2019re making it even more effortless to overcome language barriers. Using the advanced reasoning and multimodal capabilities of Gemini models, we\u2019re bringing two new features to Translate to help with live conversations and language learning.<\/p>\n<p>Live conversations translated in real time<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"60s54\">Exploring the world is more meaningful when you can easily connect with the people you meet along the way. To help with this, we\u2019ve introduced the ability to have a back-and-forth conversation in real time with audio and on-screen translations through the Translate app. Building on our existing live conversation experience, our advanced AI models are now making it even easier to have a live conversation in more than <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/translate\/thread\/368009254\/what%E2%80%99s-new-ai-powered-live-translation-and-language-learning-tools-in-google-translate?hl=en&amp;sjid=8964572695198355464-NC\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">70 languages<\/a> \u2014 including Arabic, French, Hindi, Korean, Spanish, and Tamil.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"a9anr\">To try it out, open the Translate app for <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.apps.translate&amp;hl=en_US\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Android<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/google-translate\/id414706506\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iOS<\/a>, tap on \u201cLive translate,\u201d select the languages you want to translate and simply begin speaking. You\u2019ll hear the translation aloud and see a transcript of your conversation in both languages on your device. Translate smoothly switches between the two languages you and your language partner are speaking, intelligently identifying conversational pauses, accents and intonations.
