Taylor Jenkins Reid<\/a> is one of the most popular writers in the publishing world \u2014 and she\u2019s not slowing down anytime soon.\n<\/p>\n The best-selling author has released nine novels in the last 12 years \u2014 two of which have already been adapted to the screen. Five of her other titles are set to become TV shows or movies in the near future.\n<\/p>\n In 2023, one of Reid\u2019s earlier books, One True Loves<\/a>, was adapted into a film starring Phillipa Soo<\/a> and Simu Liu<\/a>. That same year, her bestselling breakout hit, Daisy Jones & The Six<\/a>, was turned into a Prime Video miniseries. Since then, five of Reid\u2019s other books have been picked up for adaptations of their own, including her latest novel, Atmosphere<\/a>, which was published in June 2025.\n<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a trip<\/a>,\u201d Reid told PEOPLE in May 2025 about watching her words transformed onscreen. “I feel quite confident that every single person that I’ve chosen to oversee these adaptations is taking them so seriously [and] has such a sincerity. The first Reid book to hit the small screen was her breakout bestseller, Daisy Jones & The Six.\n<\/p>\n Published in 2019, the novel \u2014 structured in an oral history format \u2014\u00a0tells the story of the rise and fall of a fictional 1970s rock band, loosely based on Fleetwood Mac<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n Before it was even published, Reese Witherspoon<\/a> acquired the rights to the book through her production company, Hello Sunshine.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \u201cAs soon as I started reading Daisy Jones & The Six, I immediately fell head over heels in love with it, and I\u2019m thrilled to be bringing it to the screen,\u201d the actress told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> in July 2018. \u201cI am so confident that Daisy and her band\u2019s journey toward finding their voice will leave just as permanent a mark with viewers around the world as it did with me.\u201d\n<\/p>\n The limited series premiered on Prime Video in March 2023 with a star-studded cast. She\u2019s engaged to Sam (Liu), her longtime best friend, when suddenly those plans are disrupted when her husband, Jesse (Luke Bracey), reappears in her life. Four years earlier, Jesse disappeared after a helicopter crash and was presumed dead. Julia Bicknell, known for her work as producer on Yellowjackets, is writing the adaptation and will act as showrunner of the series.\n<\/p>\n In the book, Elsie (Qualley) and Ben fall head-over-heels in love and within months, the pair are married, planning to spend the rest of their lives together. However, Ben suddenly dies just days after their wedding. While Variety<\/a> reported that filmmaker Maggie Betts will serve as director in February 2025, the cast has not yet been announced.\n<\/p>\n Spanning from the 1950s to present day, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo tells the story of Hollywood icon, Evelyn Hugo, and the seven men she married throughout her lifetime. Although the protagonist, Evelyn Hugo, is not based solely on one person, she has been compared to old Hollywood stars like Elizabeth Taylor<\/a>, Ava Gardner<\/a> and Marilyn Monroe<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n While no information on casting is available, fans have been quick to voice their own suggestions, including Ana de Armas<\/a>, Jessica Chastain<\/a> and Eiza Gonz\u00e1lez<\/a>. At least one of those actresses has expressed interest in the role.\n<\/p>\n \u201cIt’d be such an honor,\u201d Gonz\u00e1lez told\u00a0E! News<\/a> in March 2025. \u201cI love the book. Even more fitting, tennis legend Serena Williams<\/a> has been tapped as an executive producer on the project. Williams confirmed the news<\/a> in a post on her Instagram Stories, sharing a screenshot of the Deadline article and tagging her production company.\n<\/p>\n The novel follows Carrie Soto, a retired tennis champion, who decides to make a comeback, despite the fact that the world considers her past her athletic prime. The story centers around her complex relationship with her father and the unexpected connection she forms with a fellow athlete.\n<\/p>\n Atmosphere <\/p>\n Taylor Jenkins Reid narrates her audiobook ‘Atmosphere’.<\/p>\n Taylor Jenkins Reid\/Instagram<\/p>\n Reid\u2019s latest book, Atmosphere, was released in June 2025, but even before it hit bookshelves, there were already plans for the big screen. In May, Variety<\/a> reported that Laika Studios would be producing a movie based on the novel, with Captain Marvel<\/a> directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck set to direct the project.\n<\/p>\n The novel is centered around Joan Goodwin, an astrophysicist who joins the NASA space shuttle program in the 1980s, becoming one of the first female astronauts.\n<\/p>\n \u201cI knew that I wanted to continue to\u00a0write about women\u00a0and male dominated spaces,\u201d Reid told PEOPLE in May.\u00a0“But also I’m so curious about the types of women that thrive in that environment.
