Colby Covington has barely been around the MMA scene since dropping a one-sided loss to Joaquin Buckley<\/a> back in December 2024. But \u201cChaos\u201d says he\u2019s ready to return and just waiting for UFC to tell him when.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I\u2019ve been talking to Hunter Campbell and we\u2019re looking for October and November, maybe November in [Madison Square] Garden,\u201d Covington told Helen Yee in a new interview. \u201cBut wherever Hunter decides, I\u2019ll be ready. If they need to push me to December at the T-Mobile event, then December in Vegas sounds good.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanna get in there as soon as possible and on a full training camp,\u201d he added. \u201cYou know, I didn\u2019t get a a training camp last fight. So full training camp, bring anybody in the world. I\u2019m ready to go. Let\u2019s go, Hunter and UFC!\u201d<\/p>\n

Covington did pop up at UFC 314 after Paddy Pimblett beat Michael Chandler to antagonize \u201cThe Baddy.\u201d<\/a> Now he\u2019s hoping to turn that angle into a fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Paddy Pimblett fight super interests me because in Miami he was talking s–t, running his mouth backstage,\u201d Covington said. \u201cI wasn\u2019t even looking at him or talking to him. He wants to start some s–t. He\u2019s been saying some s–t. He was saying in an interview the other day, his doctor said he had liver failure from cutting to 155. Dude, come up a weight class. Come to 170. Why are you being a weight bully, Paddy?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know you\u2019re a bum. You\u2019re a gimmick. You\u2019re a f–king little English accent and you\u2019re a little bowl cut. That\u2019s the only reason people know you. So let\u2019s get it going, Paddy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I can\u2019t get Paddy, then maybe Gilbert Burns,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

That seems to go against the UFC\u2019s general modus operandi of feeding their aging names to young up-and-comers. Covington has been known to sit out for extended periods of time to avoid bad matchups,<\/a> so we wouldn\u2019t be surprised if November and December come and go without him appearing on a card. But there\u2019s one card \u201cChaos\u201d is desperate to get on.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s nothing more that I want for my career and and everything I\u2019ve worked for than to fight at the White House,\u201d Covington said. \u201cYou know, I\u2019m the one that started getting MMA into politics and Donald Trump, supporting the Republican movement. So I feel like I deserve to fight there. But obviously, ultimately, it\u2019s up to the UFC, whatever they decide. But I\u2019m calling my shot now. Please, please, Dana, let me fight on the White House card.\u201d<\/p>\n
