Princess Diana<\/a>\u2019s brother marked the anniversary of her death<\/a> yesterday at his Althorp House home. Earl Charles Spencer, 61, took to Instagram<\/a> on Sunday to share a photograph of some flowers he had picked to take to his sister\u2019s resting place on the Althorp estate, where Princess Diana once lived.<\/p>\n

Sharing a picture of the flowers and the island where Diana, who died in a tragic car crash in 1997<\/a>, is buried, Charles wrote: \u201cFlowers we cut this morning from Althorp\u2019s gardens for the Island. Always an impossible day.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is believed Charles, who still lives at the estate, would have visited the area at Althorp where Diana is buried<\/a> to remember his sister yesterday. He once revealed that he does this regularly.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Good Morning Britain last year, Charles admitted that he visits Diana\u2019s resting place,<\/a> which can only be accessed via a boat on a lake, “pretty much every day”.<\/p>\n

He also opened up on the programme last year about how he has coped since Diana\u2019s death in 1997.<\/p>\n

He said: “I’m sure pretty much everyone watching this program has had trauma in their family at some point.<\/p>\n

“And, like everyone else, you sort of get used to it without it ever going away.”<\/p>\n

Prince Harry<\/a> and Prince William<\/a> did not publicly acknowledge the anniversary of their mother\u2019s death yesterday.<\/p>\n

However, it is believed both princes would have marked the day privately, with their families.<\/p>\n

Royal fans commented on Charles Spencer’s post yesterday, with many praising the late princess. One fan wrote: “She will live in our hearts forever.”<\/p>\n

Another said: “Diana will never be forgotten. She really was the people’s princess.
