\n\t\u201cCreepshow<\/a>,\u201d the macabre anthology series on Shudder<\/a>, is officially in the grave.<\/p>\n

\n\tA source close to the network confirms that the series will not continue after four seasons. Launched in 2019 by Greg Nicotero, the show lasted for 23 episodes and two specials, wrapping in 2023 after a fourth season.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile no official end to the series was announced, the source says the series was only planned for four seasons.<\/p>\n

\n\tTo soften the blow for fans, a Blu-Ray box set of the whole series \u2014 aptly titled \u201cCreepshow Complete Series\u201d \u2014 is set to be released on Nov. 11.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCreepshow\u201d was based on the 1982 Stephen King and George A. Romero anthology film, which spawned 1987\u2019s \u201cCreepshow 2,\u201d as well as 2006\u2019s \u201cCreepshow 3.\u201d The third film had no involvement from the duo.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series included original stories and adapted tales from authors like King, Joe Hill, Nicotero, Rob Schrab, Dana Gould, Heather Anne Campbell and many more. Directors included Joe Lynch, Nicotero, John Harrison, David Bruckner and Roxanne Benjamin among others.<\/p>\n

\n\tNicotero, the special effects guru who was also an executive producer and director on \u201cThe Walking Dead,\u201d has often cited the original \u201cCreepshow\u201d as a favorite scary movie.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m honored to continue the tradition in the \u2018spirit\u2019 in which it was created,\u201d Nicotero said in a statement when the show was first announced.<\/p>\n
