The build-up to the goalless Glasgow derby<\/a> on Sunday was overshadowed more by what is happening off the field than on the field of play. <\/p>\n Somehow, the Celtic and Rangers players managed to produce a worse outcome on the pitch because that was an abject showing of the higher order. <\/p>\n But one man who has been pretty vocal about Celtic\u2019s situation this summer is Chris Sutton<\/a>, and he didn\u2019t hold back pre-match. <\/p>\n Adam Idah<\/a> was left out of Celtic\u2019s matchday squad that travelled to Ibrox amid speculation that he could be heading to English Championship side, Swansea City.<\/p>\n It had been suggested that a \u00a37 million fee had been agreed with the Welsh side, and Idah had travelled down to Wales<\/a> to complete his medical before being called back.<\/p>\n Speaking on Sky Sports Football, Sutton wasn\u2019t too impressed with the whole situation and he labelled it a \u2018total mess.\u2019 <\/p>\n \u201cThe Adam Idah situation sort of sums up Celtic in recent times with their transfer policy,\u201d said Sutton. \u201cThey seem to be making it up as they go along. <\/p>\n \u201cHow can a guy go down to Swansea, and then get pulled back. It\u2019s a pity that the club didn\u2019t make that stance with Kyogo and Kuhn when they eventually ended up selling them. <\/p>\n \u201cI think Brendan said a couple of days ago, he would have liked a replacement in for Nicolas Kuhn, and he was expecting one \u2013 the Idah situation is a total mess. That pretty much sums up Celtic from January onwards, whether it\u2019s complacency or incompetence. Whatever it is, something is amiss. <\/p>\n \u201cPoor decision-making, and the responsibility for that? Is it on Brendan Rodgers? He should be putting out a team which is capable of beating Kairat Almaty. I understand that. <\/p>\n \u201cBut the bigger issue, for me, has been the lack of recruitment.
